Here are some pictures captured near our house in Harper's Preserve.  Bird pictures from the hood are here.  Birds photographed from our yard are here. Some of the hummingbird pictures are also from the house.  There are also spiders, bees, and wasps, captured in the yard.  The dragonflies have been keeping me busy lately, as you can see.

Nutria Close-Up

A group of 10-15 Nutria has shown up in the neighborhood.  Dig the orange teeth!  While they're kind of cute, they are invasive and have eaten most of the foliage around our pond area.

Mature Nutria Group

These are some of the more mature nutria that hung out near our place.

Nutria Group - Showing off the Orange Teeth

This seems to be a more junior group of nutria.  I was upwind of them and I think they were checking out the strange smell ;-)

Nutria Lodge

This is where they used to hang out.  Sleeping seemed to be a significant part of the daily routine.
